Here's what I do:
I build websites. Whether it's from scratch or using a framework or CMS (Content Management System), I build websites that can do just about anything. I have a lot of experience with ecommerce and social networking sites. I am well versed in the following systems/framworks: Drupal, Joomla, Zen Cart, OsCommerce, jQuery, MooTools, CakePHP, and several others.
I have a passion for developing websites and online applications that are both intuitive and easy to use. I believe in helping the user as much as possible by making their experience as easy as possible. After all, it's a lot easier to hit the back button than find a help page for your site.
SEO is a buzz word with a lot of positive and negative connotations with it. Most “quick and easy” tactics are more destructive than helpful, but that doesn't mean SEO should be neglected. While I certainly don't disregard the importance of catering to search engine “spider” programs, I feel the best practice is to design the page so that the user can find what they are looking for.
When I say internet marketing, what I don't mean is internet advertising. Internet marketing is much bigger, and typically much more time consuming than simply slapping an ad up on a website. I offer revolutionary ideas that even most major websites neglect. Just recently a site I worked on got over 56,000 page views in it's first month, without spending a dime on advertising.
I'll admit it, my design skills are a work in progress. But I'm fantastic at converting images into living, breathing websites.
